Route details

50km (31 miles) 1120m

The race starts in Wendover Woods and winds its way through the rugged woodland out onto the historic Ridgeway National Trail. You follow this pathway through to its end point at Invinghoe Beacon, 18km into the route.

Ivinghoe is the furthest point east and is surrounded by the National Trust's beautiful Ashridge Estate. Following these paths you complete the outer loop and find yourself in Tring, well over half way through.

We swap from Ridgeway to the Chiltern Way for the second loop, before re-entering Wendover Woods at 46km. Retracing your footsteps in reverse for the final 4km will dispatch you at the finish with a medal around your neck.

The course record set in our inguaral race by Jacob Brubert was 04:27:58.
